Children's Resources on Wheels (CROW), Ontario Early Years Centre (OEYC) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support and strengthen child care, family life, child development and community links in Lanark County. Its two main areas of service are Ontario Earty Years and licensed child care.
In the Smiths Falls area, there is an OEYC playgroup on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 to 11 a.m. at the OEYC located at 91 Cornelia Court, Suite 118, Smiths Falls. There is also a playgroup on Monday at Collegiate Court (former Smiths Falls District Collegiate Institute), 2 Gould St., Smiths Falls from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and on Tuesday at Rosedale Hall in Montague Township from 9:30 to 11 a.m. As of Sept. 20, another playgroup has been added on Tuesdays at Duncan J. Schoular Public School, 41 McGill Street South, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
The playgroups feature play based learning programs for children from birth to age six. Children can explore and learn through play. Parents can establish networks of support; obtain links to services and get information pertaining to parenting and healthy child development.
On Thursdays, there is a Physical Activity playgroup at Collegiate Court from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. On Thursdays and Fridays, a Parent Run Playgroup operates from 9 to 11 a.m. at the OEYC site. The playroom at the Cornelia Street location is available for parents, caregivers and children. OEYC staff are available to answer questions and provide links to other services.

Teen MOPS meets every Tuesday night from October to May at 6:30 p.m. Teen MOPS is geared to teen mothers -- not all the same age -- but all in the same phase of life. They all have similar needs and a shared desire to be the best mothers they can be! It is a no-cost program designed for teens who are pregnant or who have one or more small children from birth to kindergarten age. It provides a supportive and non-judgmental environment where teen moms can make connections.

The Distress Centre of Lanark, Leeds and Grenville operates a volunteer based community distress and information line. Lanark County Mental Health is a community based mental health agency serving Lanark County adults and transitional aged youth who experience moderate or severe mental illness.
Sponsored by the Board of the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital and supported by an active Community Advisory Board, the agency provides streamlined access to a range of crisis response, assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, court diversion and intensive community support services.
Counselling and other clinical services are also available to support adult victims of domestic violence and / or sexual assault. In addition to providing individual assessment and treatment, the agency is available for family and professional consultation regarding trauma.

Open Doors for Lanark Children and Youth is a child and youth mental health agency serving all of Lanark County with three sites, including one in Smiths Falls.
