Official opening Memorial Community Centre

Official opening takes place for new Smiths Falls Memorial Community Centre

Smiths Falls Nov. 12, 2010 – A new era in recreation was heralded as the new Smiths Falls Memorial Community Centre marked its official opening today. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held in the lobby of the new state-of-the-art facility at 2 p.m., followed by a free Community Skate. Speaking at the ribbon cutting, Mayor Dennis Staples called the new community centre, which is more than 50,000 square feet in size, “an impressive arena complex with multi-use facility space for the citizens of Smiths Falls and area.”
